Amazon Marketplace Web Service (AmazonMWS) sets limits on the number of requests you can make on the API. They call this throttling, and it protects the web service from being overwhelmed. All MAP Authority routine operation requests are significantly below the MWS hourly request quota making throttling a non issue.
